Jenny has spoken atGoogle, Best Buy, Carnegie Melon (TEDxCMU) and Columbia University — always with rave reviews.
Jenny recently took her own great leap by leaving Google to move to New York City and pursue her passions full-time. She is focused on helping others “Wake up, live big! and love the journey” through coaching, speaking, and her lastest project, Make Sh*t Happen — an 8-week course that takes people’s big GIANT goals from “improbable” idea to inevitable success snowball.
During her time at Google, Jenny worked for over five years in training, coaching, career development and Authors@Google. Her most recent role was as Career Development Program Manager, where she focused on building scalable solutions to help Googlers focus on their personal growth and career development. Jenny’s proudest Google accomplishment is building a global (15+ country) Career Guru program which involved training hundreds of managers around the world to provide 1:1 drop-in coaching to employees looking to speak with someone other than their manager about something on their mind.
While working at Google, Jenny completed training to be a life coach through the Coaches Training Institute in 2008, and finished her certification in 2010. She is a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner, and is currently serving on the Board of Governors for the International Association of Coaching. Jenny also completed yoga teacher training in 2010 through the White Lotus Foundationin Santa Barbara.
Prior to Google and halfway through her junior year at UCLA, Jenny took a leave of absence to help launch a political polling start-up company, Polimetrix (later acquired and renamed YouGov America), with her college professor and mentor. She returned to finish at UCLA in the spring of 2005. She graduated in 3 years with degrees in political science and communications, and with several distinctions: Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, and College Honors.
After stumbling through the “real world” (and reading more than 150 business and personal development books), Jenny felt compelled to share her knowledge with other young professionals. The experience of leaving school before her friends inspired her to start a blog, LifeAfterCollege.org, which she has now translated into a book, Life After College: The Complete Guide to Getting What You Want. Jenny’s book a portable life coach for 20-somethings, filled with tips, quotes and coaching exercises to help people focus on the BIG picture of their lives…not just the details.
